Digital Lockdown guide

To further protect our clients online, HSBC Global Private Banking has introduced a Digital Lockdown feature across our app and internet banking website.

If you suspect your account has been compromised or targeted by online fraud, you can instantly protect your funds by activating Digital Lockdown. This will immediately suspend access to internet banking services in respect of your account. It will also prevent any further login attempts, safeguarding the funds in your accounts. Once Digital Lockdown is activated, access can only be restored by contacting your Relationship Manager.

You should only activate Digital Lockdown if you suspect you’ve been targeted by online fraud.

To activate Digital Lockdown through HSBC Global Private Banking internet banking

  1. Select ‘More’
  2. Select ‘Digital Lockdown’
  3. Select ‘Activate Digital Lockdown’
  4. Select ‘Confirm’

Once activated, access can only be restored by contacting your Relationship Manager. Please note: access can only be restored between 08:00 and 21:00 HKT/SGT, Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays).

You can also activate Digital Lockdown by contacting your Relationship Manager or the Digital Support team (HK: + 852 3604 0303 or SG: +65 6658 2707) during regular business hours.
